Can there be anything left to achieve after being a successful CEO, an intrepid entrepreneur, an award-winning filmmaker, a poet, a painter and a writer? For Manish Mundra, the answer is a resounding yes!

From selling cold drinks and sarees on the streets of Deoghar in Jharkhand to making internationally acclaimed films, Manish’s journey has been anything but ordinary. A firm believer in the concept of living many lives in one, his relentless thirst for new experiences led him deep into the heart of Africa—this time, as a passionate wildlife photographer.

For over 20 years, Africa has been more than just a place for Manish—it has been his home, purpose and inspiration. Through the endless savannas of the Masai Mara and Serengeti, he has discovered the profound beauty of nature and the quiet lessons it imparts. ‘Wildlife photography taught me the value of patience, observation, creative thinking and, most importantly, humility,’ he says.

In this stunning collection, Manish captures Africa’s wilderness in all its raw, untamed beauty. Wild Africa is not just a celebration of the wild—it is a call to preserve its fragile splendour. We hope inspires you to pick up a camera, journey into the jungles and, above all, play a part in making this beautiful world and its habitats a little more sustainable.

Manish Mundra is a corporate-leader-turned-film producer, filmmaker and the founder of Drishyam Films. His journey into cinema began unexpectedly in 2013 after a chance interaction with Rajat Kapoor on Twitter led him to finance Ankhon Dekhi (2014). The film went on to win three Filmfare Awards and three Screen Awards.

Drishyam Films, a global motion picture studio, has produced several internationally recognized, award-winning films, including Masaan (2015), Umrika (2015), Waiting (2015), Dhanak (2016), Newton (2017), Rukh (2017), Kadvi Hawa (2017), Kaamyaab (2020), Ram Prasad Ki Tehrvi (2021) and Love Hostel (2022). Newton won the National Award for Best Hindi Film and was India’s official entry to the Academy Awards in 2018.

In 2022, Manish made his directorial debut with Siya, a critically acclaimed social drama starring Pooja Pandey and Vineet Kumar Singh. The film was an official selection at the 53rd International Film Festival of India and was nominated for Best Debut.

Manish has also established the Drishyam–Sundance Institute Screenwriters Lab for aspiring Indian screenwriters. His contributions earned him a spot on Variety magazine’s ‘Top 10 Producers to Watch Out For’ in 2017.

An avid painter, writer and photographer, Manish has authored two volumes of poetry—Mosaic and Kuch Adhuri Baatein
