Newton won the National Award for Best Hindi Film and was India’s official entry to the Academy Awards in 2018.

In 2022, Manish made his directorial debut with Siya, a critically acclaimed social drama starring Pooja Pandey and Vineet Kumar Singh. The film was an official selection at the 53rd International Film Festival of India and was nominated for Best Debut.
