?Somehow, it had been that last year in Dehra that had brought me closer to the India that i had so far only taken for granted. an India of close and sometimes sentimental friendships. of striking contrasts: a small cinema showing English pictures [?] and only a couple of hours away thousands taking a dip in the sacred water of the Ganga.? Steaming cups of masala chai, bustling markets, aromatic curries, crowded train bogeys, calming riverside ghats, ancient banyans: India is all this and so much more. A country of paradoxes, where light and dark; joy and sorrow; and diversity and familiarity coexist. In My India, Longing and Belonging, experience the unique charm of Ruskin Bond?s India. Through a wide-range of Bond?s fiction and non-fiction, meet the most endearing yet complex characters; sojourn in places, quaint and grand; and experience the grandeur of India?s natural beauty. Celebrate our beloved nation with this must-read!
