Sir Arthur Conan Doyle

Sir Arthur Conan Doyle was born on 22 May 1859 in Edinburgh, Scotland. The English writer is best known as the creator of the famous sleuth Sherlock Holmes and his loyal friend and companion, Dr Watson. Doyle was also a spiritualist and a physician. Apart from writing sixty stories featuring Holmes, he also wrote historical fiction and books on spiritualism. He died on 7 July 1930.
