Rajiv Sikri
Rajiv Sikri, a student of history, politics, and international relations, joined the Indian Foreign Service in 1970. In the course of a distinguished career spanning more than three and a half decades, he served in key diplomatic assignments in Moscow (twice), New York, Paris, and Kathmandu, and as India’s Ambassador to Kazakhstan. He retired as Secretary in the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India.
Post-retirement, Rajiv Sikri has authored two highly acclaimed books on India’s foreign policy, which have been widely appreciated for their depth and insight. He has been closely associated with the Vivekananda International Foundation since its inception and continues to contribute as a member of its Advisory Council.
In addition to his professional pursuits, he is an avid photographer.
