Neil D’Silva
Neil D’Silva is an accomplished author, best known for his works in the horror genre, such as Maya’s New Husband, Yakshini, Pishacha, Sapna’s Bad Connection, Devputra and Ghost Whispers.
Neil has played a key role in shaping the horror literature landscape in India. He has served as president of the Indian chapter of the Horror Writers Association and was the Jury Chair for a year in the short stories category for the Bram Stoker® Awards. He has also judged other noteworthy literature competitions, including the ‘Wattpad India Awards’ and ‘The Times of India AutHer Awards’.
A passionate advocate for India’s folklore and paranormal horror literature, Neil is a sought-after speaker who has delivered talks on the TEDx platform and featured on leading podcasts, such as The Ranveer Show, Astro Arun Pandit Show and Khooni Monday’s Ankhon Dekhi, among others. He is also a mentor with the Scholastic Writers Academy, where he guides emerging writers in honing their craft and building their voices in fiction. Several of his novels have been optioned for screen and Neil has also provided the original story for an upcoming horror web series on an OTT platform.
