Mijing Gwra Basumatary

Dr Mijing Gwra Basumatary is an assistant professor from Assam whose research has appeared in reputed academic journals. Beyond academia, he is a dedicated folklorist engaged in documenting oral traditions, cultural memory, and the evolving heritage of Northeast India. Drawing early inspiration from his native village of Kataligaon, his writing captures the region’s myths, beliefs and storytelling traditions with warmth, sensitivity and authenticity. He currently lives in Guwahati.
