Cheeku The Rabbit/Meeku The Mouse/Shersingh The Lion/Champak series
Stories in Champak are set in a unique forest, Champakvan. Champa is an evergreen fragrant tree and van means forest. Great adventure lies in every page, waiting to take children on a wild and exciting ride. Everyone in this forest treats the other with respect, kindness, sensitivity and most importantly—they value friendship.
Cheeku the rabbit: He loves solving problems and finding thieves using his intelligence and technology. He is curious about science and introduces innovative ideas in Champakvan. He is an unofficial advisor to the king, the forest and his friends. Let’s encourage the Cheeku in us to be innovative, kind and rational.
Meeku the mouse: Cheeku the Rabbit’s best friend, Meeku gets into trouble with other animals and has to be constantly bailed out. His stories are about friendship and him being short-sighted and miserly. He loves being the centre of attention and is a friend one always wants around. There is a little bit of Meeku in all of us to love and enjoy.
Shersingh the lion: Always dressed fashionably, he is the king of the jungle and takes his responsibilities very seriously. He is a defender of free speech. Loved by all the animals, he is just and fair, but can get angry very quickly, at times is stubborn and also jumps to conclusions. But he is quick to realise his mistakes and there is humour and a message of togetherness in his stories.
Shersingh brings out the kind leader we all would like to be.
