Booker Taliaferro Washington (5 April 1856–14 November 1915) was an orator, educator and social
reformer. He became the voice of African Americans by fighting for their rights against the brutal
Jim Crow Laws. Taking his endeavours one step ahead, the foundation of the Tuskegee Institute
became the key to progress for his community and civilization at large.
