ABOUT THIS BOOK

‘Our lives mould us to a certain point, but beyond that point, it is we who do the moulding.
ultimately, it is i who is the sculptor of my life.’
Charismatic and driven Alya is living her dream, riding a wave of success in the glitz and glamour
of Bollywood, but it gets lonely at the top. Beautiful and impulsive Eisha gets married young to a
wealthy man, seeking a carefree life only to be trapped in the dystopic world of the soulless ultra-
rich. Career-driven and ambitious Reena struggles with complexes about her appearance even as the
pressure to marry builds with every passing year of her life. And, finally, neglected yet privileged
Malini works through her loss of identity and towards self-discovery.
Unchain My Heart tells the story of four independent and bright women at the cusp of change. The
challenges these women face—juggling their careers, marriages, relationships and motherhood—tell
the unique yet familiar tale of modern Indian women trying to not just survive but thrive in a
competitive world.
