ABOUT THIS BOOK

This is a book about how spiritual development does not require leaving an ordinary life, that it is instead about living an ordinary life in a particular way that is both easy and practical for everyone.
Dr Badrinarayan Shankar Pawar (PhD, Oklahoma State University) writes about witnessing the practical spirituality of Baai, his mother. The book looks at pain, happiness, relationships and suffering through the lens of someone who, without following any spiritual master, had imbibed the teachings of ancient holy scriptures in her ordinary life, but with extraordinary outcomes. He correlates different aspects of Baai’s life—including her demise, when Baai was experiencing serenity and peace despite her body being riddled with ailments—with specific verses from the Bhagavad Gita and Dnyaaneswhari as well as scientific literature on spirituality. Her last moments resembled the descriptions of liberation or self-realization in the scriptures.
This book is for anyone with an urge for spiritual development while still living a life filled with duties, dilemmas, challenges, adversities and changes.
