ABOUT THIS BOOK

‘…there’s no harm in indulging in a little nostalgia. What is nostalgia, after all, but an attempt
to preserve that which was good in the past?’
Remember evenings spent watching movies and loitering about on the streets with friends or summer
afternoons whiled away lazing around in the verandah of your grandmother’s house? Can you ever
forget the moment you met a friend for the first time or the act of kindness from a stranger when
you were least expecting it?
In Days and Nights to Remember, take a walk down memory lane with some of Ruskin Bond’s most
heartwarming essays and stories about people and places that will make you nostalgic for simpler
and kinder times. Through his characteristic simple prose, Bond’s endearing stories are bound to tug
at your heartstrings and rekindle your memories of that kind stranger or unforgettable experience
you often reminisce about.
