ABOUT THIS BOOK

If you don’t know how to communicate properly, you are going to have problems in every
relationship, whether personal or professional. Effective communication is like the engine oil that makes your life run smoothly.
This book tells you how to communicate effectively and get what you want. It also reveals how NOT to communicate—an unfortunate word, bad formulation, inappropriate joke, forgotten name, huge misinterpretation, an awkward conversation or a strange tone in your voice are factors. Remember, there are very few areas in life where you can succeed in the long run without this crucial skill.
What will you learn from this book?
• What are the most common communication obstacles between people and how to avoid
them
• How to express anger and avoid conflicts
• What are the most eight important questions you should ask yourself if you want to be
an effective communicator
• Five most basic and crucial conversational fixes
• How to deal with difficult and toxic people
• Phrases to purge from your dictionary (and what to substitute them with)
• The refined art of giving and receiving feedback
• Rapport—the art of excellent communication
• How to use metaphors to communicate better and connect with people
• What meta-programmes and meta-models are and how exactly to make use of them to
become a polished communicator
• How to read faces and how to effectively predict other people’s reaction
• How to finally start remembering names
• How to have a great public presentation
• How to create your own unique personality in business (and everyday life)
• Effective networking

Start improving your life today.

AUTHOR OF THE BOOK

Ian Tuhovsky calls himself ‘the observer of people and reality’. A graduate in sociology, he
works as an HR consultant for many European companies from different sectors.

As a child and then as a teenager, Ian suffered from shyness and low self-esteem, but that was
until he began confronting his fears and doing the opposite of what his brain was telling him. He is not a mentor or a guru. He is just a guy who believes there is more to life than we are told.

Apart from writing and investigation, he enjoys travelling and getting to know different cultures
