The greatest inheritance we leave our children is not wealth; it is the values by which they choose to live.

Every generation believes parenting has become harder. Perhaps it has.

Children today are growing up in a world of constant change, endless distractions, digital overload, and unprecedented opportunities. Yet the questions every parent faces remain remarkably familiar: How do we raise children with values and character? How do we nurture resilience without becoming overprotective? How do we help them succeed without losing sight of kindness, integrity, and purpose?

In Once a Parent, Always a Parent, renowned management expert, bestselling author, serial entrepreneur, father of two successful sons, and grandfather to three grandchildren, Ashutosh Garg draws from the Vedas, Upanishads, Bhagavad Gita, Mahabharata, Chanakya Neeti, the Bible, Guru Granth Sahib, and the insights of contemporary thinkers to offer an unadulterated exploration of what it means to raise compassionate, resilient, and grounded human beings.

Ashutosh Garg worked in the corporate sector for twenty-five years before becoming an entrepreneur and founding the extremely popular Guardian Pharmacy chain in 2003. He also served as director of GAVI, the Vaccine Alliance (headquartered in Geneva), for eight years and has been a member of several other prestigious boards. Recognized as a Global Leader for Tomorrow by the World Economic Forum in 1995, he is an active member of the Young Presidents’ Organization, the world’s largest leadership community, and a charter member of TiE or The Indus Entrepreneurs.

He launched the popular global podcast The Brand Called You (www.tbcy.in) in 2019 and has written eleven highly acclaimed books, including some bestsellers, and can frequently be seen on national television discussing current affairs. A keen golfer, he also plays the Indian flute and enjoys reading.
