equALLY: Stories by Friends of the Queer World is a first-of-its-kind anthology of powerful personal stories by individuals who have stood up and spoken for the LGBT+ community, and created safe spaces at home, schools, colleges, workplaces, and in society. The book features 45 authentic stories of influencers, corporate leaders, parents, teachers, teenagers, and celebrates life experiences, perspectives, and sentiments of their journey to ‘allyship’.

Each tale in this book is an inspiration, a motivation, and a reminder that there are people across the country for whom the aspect of an individual's identity and existence is imperative. Conveying their solidarity towards the LGBT+ community through their written experience of realisation and transformation into an Ally makes this more than just a book—it is a significant milestone on the path towards inclusion. Everyone has ‘ally’ stories to tell and we recognise that with each retelling, these stories create stronger connections, inclusion and bring about change. This is not just a book, but a movement!

Ramkrishna Sinha has built an incredible and long-lasting career in journalism based on honesty, morality, and a steadfast dedication to the voice of the people. He is based in Kolkata and has worked in print, television, and digital media for more than 20 years. He has continuously supported grassroots narratives, rural voices, and Bengal's cultural identity, from ground reporting for top Bengali news channels to developing editorial strategies in large newsrooms.

Ramkrishna Sinha was Republic Bangla's Editorial Consultant until July 31. During that time, he was instrumental in determining the channel's editorial direction, prime-time narratives, and coverage of regional policy. His keen editorial sense and in-depth knowledge of Bengal's sociopolitical structure made a substantial contribution to content that struck a deep chord with viewers throughout the state.

He continues to be a significant player in Bengal's digital journalism scene outside of television. In addition to being the News Editor at Bangla Mirror and Pranam TV Bharat, he is the Editor of DI Originals, one of the first digital news projects in Bengal. He actively leads and mentors teams behind independent platforms such as DemocraticIndians.in, a citizen-centric digital platform that gives voice to people in India and overseas, and BanglaMirror.in, a Bengali newspaper registered with the RNI.

Although Ramkrishna Sinha's journalism is firmly rooted in Bengal, it has a national impact. By bringing rural struggles, cultural identity, and grassroots viewpoints into mainstream discourse, his storytelling closes the gap between local realities and national discussions. His contribution to journalism goes beyond simply disseminating information; it promotes communication, comprehension, and social consciousness. He is renowned for his fearless reporting, editorial clarity, and solid ethical foundation.

Ramkrishna Sinha exemplifies the development of contemporary Indian journalism through his work in both traditional and digital media, fusing the flexibility and reach of cutting-edge digital storytelling with the traditional newsroom values.
