Shyamlal Yadav is a journalist with The Indian Express. He is also a member of the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ). He has been part of several cross-border investigations. Shyamlal is a two-time winner of Ramnath Goenka Award for Excellence in Journalism in the Investigative Reporting category and Best Investigative Reporting Award by Asian College of Journalism. He is also a recipient of the Lorenzo Natalie Journalism Prize, Developing Asia Journalism Award, National RTI Award and Statesman Rural Reporting Award, among others.
Shyamlal has observed, voted in and covered elections, particularly in Uttar Pradesh, since 1989. He continues to write on political and social issues.
