Rukmani Anandani has been, in turn, a mathematician, an accountant, a
journalist, a photographer and an activist. Her first short story, ‘Wanted a Wife’,
was published in The Patriot. Her stint in journalism started with the Bangkok
Post and later included India Today, The Sunday Mail and The Indian Express. Her
freelance photographs have appeared in many publications including The Illustrated
Weekly and The Week. At different times, different places have been home to
her; and these range from Beirut to Bristol, via Ethiopia. She loves Delhi with
its magnificently picturesque landscapes and fine-looking monuments and it has
been her home for the past many years now.
