Rama Goyal

JAGDISH PRASAD GOYAL (1926–2013) was Senior Advocate, Supreme Court of India and Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha). He was Raj Narain’s advocate since 1960, including in the Raj Narain vs. Indira Nehru Gandhi case. He was associated with many important cases, including the habeas corpus cases and those relating to the attempt in November 1975 by then Chief Justice A.N. Ray to review the Kesavananda Bharati judgement of 1973. He was a Member of the Socialist Party, Bhartiya Lok Dal, and Janata Party. He was Permanent Invitee to the National Executive of the Janata Party and served as Treasurer and Member of the National Executive of the Lok Dal.
