Rakesh Kumar Singh

Rakesh Kumar Singh is a serving CRPF officer who has written four books, including novels and non-fiction. He has also written more than 100 articles in leading newspapers and magazines on subjects ranging from management to behavioural science. In his twenty-five years in the CRPF, he has been awarded several medals by the Government of India as well as ten Commendation Discs by the CRPF. He has served in the conflict zones of Kashmir and the Northeast besides the Left Wing Extremism (LWE) areas of Dantewada. He is a resource person in the Bureau of Police Research and Development and is regularly invited to deliver lectures at various police academies. Under his command, his unit in Bastar was adjudged as the Best Operational Battalion in 2019. He has received the prestigious Govind Ballabh Pant Purashkar for two of his books: Naxalwaad aur Police ki Bhumikaa (2011) and Naxalwaad Ankaha Sacch (2021). This is his third novel
