Prakhar Shrivastava

Prakhar Shrivastava is a senior television journalist. Over a career spanning nearly 25 years, he has worked with India TV, Zee News, TV Today Network (Aaj Tak), NDTV India, News 24, DD News and Sahara Samay. He has also been associated with the digital platform, Capital TV, where he hosted the highly popular show Khari Baat Prakhar Ke Saath. Throughout his journalistic career, Prakhar has always placed the motto of ‘Nation First’ as his highest priority.  

Since 2005, Prakhar Shrivastava has been working extensively on various aspects related to the Gandhi assassination. In the same year, he produced a special show on the topic for Zee News. He has also created several shows for NDTV India, India News, News 24, and Capital TV on this subject. Prakhar is among the rare television journalists in the country who pioneered in initiating special programs on historical subjects on private news channels.  

Prakhar Shrivastava originally hails from Talen village in Rajgarh (Biaora) district of Madhya Pradesh. He was born in 1978 in Guna. His father, the late Narendra ‘Atul,’ was a senior government officer as well as a well-known poet and litterateur. His mother, Mrs. Manorama Shrivastava, is a homemaker. Prakhar received his early education in cities such as Bhopal, Gwalior and Sagar. He studied journalism at Devi Ahilya University, Indore. He is based in Delhi.
