Kumar Nirbhay

Dr Kumar Nirbhay, a full-time doctor and lifelong storyteller, is a distinguished medical professional with over two decades of clinical experience. Currently serving as a Senior Physician at the Railway Hospital in Nagpur, he is widely respected for his diagnostic acumen, compassionate patient care, and steadfast commitment to public health. 

A consistent academic achiever, Dr Nirbhay topped both his 10th and 12th standards at his school. He earned his MBBS from the prestigious Grant Medical College, Mumbai, followed by an MD in General Medicine from the renowned Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune. He also holds the internationally recognized MRCP (UK) qualification, further underscoring his clinical expertise and global outlook in medicine. 

Beyond his professional achievements, Dr Nirbhay is an enthusiastic advocate for community engagement and wellness. He founded the initiative Everyone, Every Sunday, 100 Metres—a grassroots movement encouraging citizens to contribute to a cleaner, more beautiful India. 

He has also written columns for The Hitavada, Central India’s oldest and largest circulating English daily, focusing on the issue of street littering. 

In his personal time, Dr Nirbhay enjoys reading short stories, watching short films, following football, and interacting with people from all walks of life—interests that enrich his perspective and enhance his empathetic approach to medicine.
