Berjis Desai

Lawyer and writer, studied at Cambridge. Former journalist with a leading Gujarati daily; he retired as the Managing Partner of one of India’s leading law firms. 

Author of Oh! Those Parsis and The Bawaji, an irreverent yet empathetic look at Parsi culture; both have received critical acclaim. His debut novel, Towers of Silence, was published in 2021, and Murder at the Racecourse, a crime thriller in 2024. Navsari Tales, poignant true stories about the ancient town, is in print. 

His other interests include study of esoteric Zoroastrianism, Hinduism, and comparative religion.
