ABOUT THIS BOOK

Written during the time of the British Raj, this book is an Englishman’s perspective of the Gurkhas as a people, offering fascinating insights into their customs, beliefs, way of life and the services they rendered as part of a British military outfit.
Long unavailable, The Land of the Gurkhas has been re-published to bring significant books of colonial India back into circulation.
