AUTHOR OF THE BOOK

Derek O’Brien was born in Kolkata. He studied at St. Xavier’s Collegiate
School, Kolkata, St. Columba’s School, New Delhi, and Scottish Church
College, Kolkata. During his school and college years, he participated in
numerous public speaking competitions where he won multiple awards.
Derek began his career as a sports journalist but soon shifted to advertising
and worked for a number of years as Creative Head of Ogilvy. However, his
natural ability as a public speaker led Derek to focus all his energy and talent
on his passion: quizzing.
Today, Derek O’Brien is Asia’s best-known quizmaster and CEO of Derek
O’Brien & Associates Pvt. Ltd. Over the years, he has written more than forty
reference and quiz books.
He is currently a Member of Parliament, and also the Chief Whip of the
Trinamool Congress in the Rajya Sabha.
