Tushar C. Shah was born in Mumbai, in 1951. He completed his schooling from Hill Grange High School and went on to graduate from K. C. College with Honours in Arts. An avid reader, especially of books pertaining to spirituality, he has a keen interest in ancient Indian customs and traditions.
