Rajendra Tandon, born in 1934, holds a Master’s degree in English literature, a Bachelor’s degree in law and was a member of the Indian Revenue Service. A scholar by temperament, he has studied Sanskrit, Hindi, Punjabi, Urdu, mathematics and physics. His many areas of interest include Indian history, Indian miniature painting, astronomy, fine arts, classical music and gardening. He is also keenly interested in homoeopathy and firmly believes in alternative healing treatments.
