Dr M. Rajaram is an officer in the Indian Administrative Service, with a postgraduate degree in English
literature, a BL and a PhD (HRD). His English translation of Thirukkural won him acclaim nationally
and internationally, particularly from Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, former president of India, as well as many
other scholars. His other books, including Towards Quality in Educational Administration, Elemental
Warriors, Food for Thought and Blossoms in English, have been very well-received.
